Ayurveda College Tripunithura
A Sloka Recitation (Parayana) program on “Asthanag Hridaya Sutrasthana” was organised by the Department of Ayurveda Samhita & Siddhanta, Amrita School of Ayurveda from May 12-14, 2015. The program started with Lord Dhanvantary Strotam followed by welcome speech by Prof. J. S. Mund and benedictory address by Br. Sankara Chaithanya, Director, Amrita School of Ayurveda. The first year BAMS students chanted the Sutras and the resource persons explained chapters in both clinical and theoretical point of view. The experts were Prof. Dr. M. R. Vasudevan Nampoothiri, Principal, Amrita School of Ayurveda, Dr. Jayan D., Professor, Govt. Ayurveda College Tripunithura, Dr. T. Sreekumar, Professor, Ayurveda College, Ollur, Dr. P. K. V. Anand, Associate Professor, Ayurveda College Ollur, Dr. M. Prasad, Professor, Vishnu Ayurveda College, Dr. K. Murali, Professor, Govt. Ayurveda college, Tripunithura and Dr. P. Y. Ansari, Associate Professor, Govt. Ayurveda college, Tripunithura. The interactive sessions at the end of expert’s speech were very lively and it developed the logical thinking of the participants in learning Granthas. The student’s feedback expressed that the program was a great success. In the valedictory function, certificates were distributed by the experts.
