Ancient Ayurveda Therapies and Yoga Help Master MS Naturally

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a debilitating auto immune disease that affects the brain, the spinal cord and optic nerves. Your body's immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys the protective sheath (myelin) that covers your nerves. Damage to myelin distort and interrupt signals coming to and from the brain and spinal cord.

There are typically 4 types of MS.

1. Relapsing-Remitting MS (RRMS). 85% of people with MS are initially diagnosed RRMS. People with RRMS get episodes of MS with intervals in between when there is almost no symptom.

2. Secondary-Progressive MS (SPMS). In SPMS, symptoms worsen steadily over time, with or without intervals. RRMS transitions to SPMS at some point.

3. Primary-Progressive MS (PPMS). 10% of people with MS are diagnosed PPMS characterized by slowly worsening symptoms from the beginning, with no intervals.

4. Progressive-Relapsing MS (PRMS). A rare form of MS (5%), PRMS steadily worsens from the beginning, with acute exacerbations.

We at Dharma Ayurveda have derived specific treatment modules for treating MS based on time-tested healing approaches of the dharma family. Specialised yoga practises especially pranayama and meditation compliment the potent ayurvedic therapies and formulations that have cured debilitating neurological diseases since generations.

The treatment attempts to:

a. Calm the immune system to halt the disease activity

b. Relieve inflammation in the nerves caused by MS

c. Rejuvenate the myelin producing cells to support the body repair damaged myelin

d. Activate body’s processes to reverse and remove the scars in the CNS.

In our experience treating MS cases, we have seen marked improvement in most aspects of MS following Ayurvedic treatment. In some cases who approached us in the initial years of MS, and followed Ayurvedic regime and treatment annually, even scars in the MRI were reportedly reversed by the fourth and fifth year.

Please be aware that early treatment may prevent, limit or atleast delay disability, by decreasing the injury to the nervous system caused by the disease.
